The United States has a long tradition of offering refuge to those fleeing persecution and war. Oregon has always taken in refugees & immigrants from all over the world, and has been partaking in their aid and is determined to continue its efforts.
The Portland Refugee Support Group (PRSG) is dedicated to helping refugee families integrate into our society with ease and comfort, welcoming them with open arms and making them feel like family.

Portland Refugee Support Group: Hand in Hand, Rebuilding Lives

Who We Are

Since being founded in 2016, PRSG has grown by leaps and bounds. Our amazing team of volunteers helps over 100 refugee families (over 400 individuals, and over 200 children) of 12 different ethnicities throughout the Portland area & Salem, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington. We offer support services to refugees who come through resettlement agencies like Catholic Charities.

What We Do

The Portland Refugee Support Group is an organization that provides refugees currently living in the Portland, OR metropolitan region the social capital they need for a successful transition to life in the US. PRSG believes the power of community, if organized effectively, can help refugees pursue greater opportunities, and achieve greater outcomes.
